Two fire engines from Rathfarnham and Tallaght fire stations were able to deal with the fire at a primary school in Knocklyon, Dublin.
The blaze broke out in the early hours and firefighters worked quickly to contain it before it could spread to other parts of the building.
Fire safety in schools is critically important. Regular fire door inspections ensure that in the event of a fire, doors perform as designed to protect escape routes and contain the spread of fire and smoke.
