Last updated: October 2026
Pembroke Fire Doors ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through pembrokefiredoors.ie and in the course of our fire door inspection and repair services, why we use it, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988–2018.
Who we are
Pembroke Fire Doors, Unit 3, Crossland Business Park, Ballymount Road Lower, Dublin 12, D12VOCP. We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact us about privacy at office@pembrokefiredoors.ie or +353 1 292 1640.
What we collect
- Quote and contact enquiries: your name, email, phone number, company, building details and your message.
- Job applications: your name, contact details, message and any CV you upload.
- Fault reports made from a building’s Door Check page (QR code): your name, email, the door number and your description of the fault.
- Customers: contact and billing details, building and site contact details, quotes, invoices and payment records.
- Inspection records: building and door details, photographs, the inspector’s name, and the date, time and location at which an inspection was carried out.
- Online payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- Website usage: our site uses the Google tag to measure the performance of our Google Ads (for example, when a quote form is submitted or a phone number is tapped).
Why we use it and our legal basis
- To answer enquiries and prepare quotations (steps taken at your request before a contract).
- To carry out inspections and repairs, issue reports, invoices and receipts, and remind you when your next inspection is due (performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in keeping your building compliant).
- To keep accounting and tax records (legal obligation).
- To consider job applications (your consent and our legitimate interest in recruiting).
- To deal with fault reports and keep building records accurate (legitimate interests of the building owner and occupants).
- To measure our advertising (legitimate interests or, where required, your consent).
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business and who act on our instructions: our website and database hosting provider, our email provider, Stripe (card payments) and Google (advertising measurement). Inspection reports are shared with the customer who commissioned them. We will also disclose data where the law requires it.
International transfers
Some providers (for example Google and Stripe) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is protected by an EU adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 2 years.
- Customer, quote, invoice and payment records: 6 years after the end of the financial year they relate to, as required by Irish tax law.
- Inspection reports and building records: for as long as we provide services for the building, and for 6 years afterwards.
- Job applications: up to 12 months, unless you join us.
Your rights
You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent you can withdraw it at any time. Email office@pembrokefiredoors.ie and we will respond within one month. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission (www.dataprotection.ie).
Security
Our systems are password protected and access is limited to staff who need it. Data is sent to and from our website over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
