About the Role

We are seeking conscientious, diligent, and detail-oriented Men & Women to train as Fire Door Inspectors to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fire safety compliance.

As a Fire Door Inspector, you will be responsible for carrying out detailed inspections of fire doors across a range of commercial and residential properties, ensuring they comply with current fire safety legislation and industry standards. Your findings will help protect lives and property by ensuring fire doors perform as intended in the event of a fire.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of fire doors and associated hardware.
  • Identify defects, damage, wear, or non-compliance with relevant standards.
  • Accurately record inspection findings using digital reporting systems.
  • Take clear photographic evidence to support inspection reports.
  • Provide recommendations for remedial works where required.
  • Ensure inspections are completed efficiently while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and site personnel.
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with company procedures.

Essential Requirements

  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify even minor defects that could affect fire door performance.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Competent using smartphones, tablets, or digital reporting software.
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and professional at all times.

Desirable

  • Previous experience in snagging, carpentry, construction, facilities management, or building maintenance.
  • Fluent English Speaking.
  • Have your own vehicle.

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our team on a part-time basis, carrying out repairs and maintenance to fire doors across commercial and residential properties.

This is a specialist role where quality and attention to detail are paramount. Fire doors are critical life safety systems, and every repair must be completed to the highest standard, ensuring compliance with current fire safety regulations and manufacturer requirements.

The successful candidate will take pride in producing accurate, high-quality workmanship and understand that even small defects can have a significant impact on the performance of a fire door.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified or well experienced carpenter/joiner/tradesman.
  • Excellent carpentry and finishing skills.
  • Own vehicle and tools.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to every repair.
  • Ability to identify defects and determine appropriate remedial solutions.
  • Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Full, clean driving licence.
